Christopher Barnes is a Northern English poet and artist whose career spans from the late 1990s to today. After winning a Northern Arts writers award, Barnes became active in giving readings at various venues including Waterstones, Morden Tower, and the Edinburgh Festival. He published his poetry collection "LOVEBITES" with Chanticleer Press. Barnes has been a regular participant in LGBTQ+ literary events, particularly the Proudwords festival. His work often crosses into visual arts and film, collaborating with artists and participating in multimedia projects. He was mentored by Andy Croft through the Northern Cultural Skills Partnership. Barnes held a solo art/poetry exhibition at The People's Theatre, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to creativity.
